Journal Philosophy and Society was launched in 1987. as an annual publication of the Centre for Philosophy and Social Theory in Belgrade. It was founded by the members of the so-called Praxis Group (Ljuba Tadić, Mihailo Markovic, Svetozar Stojanovic, Zagorka Golubovic, Dragoljub Micunovic, Miladin Zivotic, Nebojsa Popov). During the twenty years from first publication, the journal co-operated with over 200 authors and translators. In addition to thematic blocks, journal nurtures following steady or occasional sections: studies and articles, studies, trials, research, book reviews,, from the institute, polemic, interpretations, side view, survey, in memoriam, round table, documents , miscellaneous, news. It is planned that from 2010, Philosophy and Society is published four times a year.
